Life’s too short, so buy the shoes.

The sneaker world has long been a male-dominated field, but times have changed. Today, equal opportunity reigns supreme.

I see shoes as an equalizer. It doesn't matter about my gender, age, or race, shoes create safe spaces wherever I go.

Shoes make me feel good! When shoes cross my mind, I get a DOPE-a-mine rush.

My name is Adria and I approve this message.

About SneakHERhead

It all started when…

I got my first "big girl" job as a Higher Education Advisor at Dallas, TX's largest high school: Skyline High School.

I had a student to come into my room seeking the opportunity at a higher education. On paper, one would make the mistake of assuming that this kid may not be a successful student in college. At the time, the hottest shoe was the Flu Games (a shoe which I have yet to acquire btw).

This student, who will remain nameless for confidentiality purposes, informed me that he didn't know what to write about as an entry level essay for a college that he was interested in.

I asked him what he loved, and he told me shoes, so we chose the shoes on his feet at the time (the Flu Games). He got accepted into that college because he managed to articulate his love for shoes, along with the rich history of the iconic kicks on his feet. THAT'S when it occurred to me that sneakers can CHANGE THE TRAJECTORY of a person's life! It definitely changed my student's for the better, not to mention mine as well!

I happen to LOVE encouraging and motivating teens and young adults alike. I LOVE kicks. But above all, I LOVE Christ!

So…I decided to grow my sneaker collection, review them for your viewing and wearing pleasure, and add some fashion tips/suggestions. I also tie in higher education for those seeking college as a route to success, and I break bread with you through the Word of God.

Sneakers. Education. Fashion. God. It's that simple.

Welcome to my humble sneaker abode!
