Thee #DOPE-est In Thee Room

Soooo…

I just received the “come up” of the century with these!

And because the anticipation of this shoe was too much for me to withstand, I had to shoot the video IMMEDIATELY!

I’d been eagerly awaiting THIS drop. And oddly enough, I had come to grips with the fact that I’d never own them. Not to mention, I knew that these shoes would drop at the exact same time as my staff meeting😒 So, when I woke up, I had made peace with the fact that Nike would never take a chance on me; just a kid from South Dallas with hopes and dreams of owning an exclusive pair of Jordan’s.

I sat in that cold conference room, watching the window as raindrops collected on the outside. I did my tally of who was on time to the meeting, and who was late. I looked at my series 2 Apple Watch, and as the “drop time” hit, I exhaled, grabbed my coffee cup, and proceeded to the front to greet my staff with a HUGE smile😀

I then introduced the person who was next on the agenda to go over how the meeting would go for the day, and I proceeded back to my seat. Something told me to take a chance, so I did. And at 9:08am, I double-clicked the side button on my XS Max, and I put my phone away. I knew that I wouldn’t win. Not to mention, I entered the drawing LATE. Plus, my mind was on the work that I needed to get done at this staff meeting.

As I heard the speaker call my name in an effort to get me to come back up and commence with the order of the meeting, I didn’t give the SNKRS app a second thought. And minutes later, I felt my back, left pocket, vibrate. So, I casually pulled my phone out to make sure that it wasn’t an emergency text from one of my employees who hadn’t made it to the staff meeting yet. And to my surprise, I got a notification saying that my account was charged for price of the shoes! I did it! I had FINALLY become a proud owner of an EXCLUSIVE Jordan, without the exclusive resale price!

Below is a full breakdown of the outfit that I pieced together:

-Dress: H&M (Red/Orange Stripes)

-Jacket: Levi’s Trucker Jacket (Grarrow-Grey)

-Socks: Urban Outfitter (Cactus Pattern)

-Lipstick: MAC Cosmetics (Retro Matte-Lady Danger)

These kicks don’t need a co-signer, nor an “amen” corner. They stand alone…in all of their glory. So don’t think about it too much when it comes to how you should put your outfit together. The color-way is so chill, that even despite the infrared accents, you can literally put anything on, and still be DOPE! If I ever had ANY DOUBT about the gift of DOPE-ness, it all withered away and became a distant memory once I cracked open “medium green” shoebox. This shoe will definitely do what Travis Scott intended for it to do: Be the FLYEST in the room😎
