I can’t tell you WHY. But there’s something about a red and black shoe that is super appealing. The Flu Game Jordan 12’s are a perfect example of that. But I think what makes them all the more appealing is the history behind them. The story brings value to the shoe.

And we all have a unique story ourselves. It’s what makes us so interesting and intriguing! Plus, the fact that the Flu Game 12 has a bit of mystique attached to it’s story also doesn’t hurt. There are rumors surrounding this shoe. Did Michael Jordan truly have the flu during the 97’ Finals? Or was it something else in an effort to protect his image and his brand? Regardless of what the truth may be, the masses seem to believe that him having the flu, made the desire and value of this shoe go up, according to shoe sales. The point is, Jordan wasn’t feeling his best, yet he still played as though he wasn’t sick. His numbers were astounding for even a healthy person! I can’t lie, while this story does make this shoe pretty desirable to me, it has also inspired me to create SneakHER Head. And one day, I’ll go into detail about why this shoe means so much to the brand.

The Reverse Flu Game 12 however, has no real historical context other than the fact that it’s a reverse of the original Flu Game Jordan 12. But it was in that very moment that God revealed to me that this shoe is special because it’s a depiction of what Christ has done in my life. While I may not like the cosmetic make-up of the shoe, it still ministered to me in ways unimaginable. Because just like this shoe, Christ reversed my life for the better. He controls the time. He has restored my life. He has turned my life around for the BETTER. NOBODY BUT GOD can do that!
